SCENE 1
Brother Mouse: I wonder where everything is? Where is everybody? Ooff! OK, there’s the wall. Where’s the stairs? Bang-ouch. Ouch bang. My toe…oh,there’s the stairs. OK, Little Sister, time for me to fill your bottle Where’s the milk. Oh, there goes the milk, spilling everywhere. There’s the bottle. Whoops, dropped it. Oh dear, have to clean it all up.
Baby Sister cries.
Father Mouse: Take off that blindfold. Oh dear, I overcooked that turkey.
Sister Mouse: Where did I put that bow?
Baby Sister hiccups and goos.
Sister Mouse: Take off that blindfold please. Check out the prize I got at opera lesson.
Brother: It looks like a golden mouth. Check out the cool trophy I got at soccer.
CRASH!
Baby Sister cries.
Baby Sister: Mama!
Brother: She said her first word! I didn’t expect it!
SCENE 2
Head of Orphanage: I need a replacement for that little vole. I must steal a baby mouse.
Evil Laugh.
Door slams.
Orpan: I’m scared. (Looks at the cellar).
Unusual Creature (roars and scraches on door).
Half of the door falls on the floor. A cat paw comes out of the door. Two cat eyes look out the door. A bone gets tossed on the floor.
SCENE 3
At Brother and Sister Mouse’s House
Head of Orphanage: Two young mice guarded by two big brother mice. How can I steal them now? Hey, look, there’s a group of stupid voles trying to peek in.
Head of Voles: Almost did it now.
Silly noises. Head of voles hiccups when he puts his face in a barrel of water.
Head of Voles: I didn’t know they put hiccup potion in this water. Blah! I didn’t know that was a toilet! I was looking in the bathroom. Let’s look in the living room. Hey, look, there’re all wearing top hats.
One of the Voles: Take off those glasses. I drew some top hats on them.
Head of Orphanage: Finally made it inside. Now, where are those twins? There they are. Got ya!
Baby Sister cries.
Little Brother barfs.
Brother Mouse: Found you.
Head of Orphanage: Hey, look inside this egg.
The egg cracks. Fog goes everywhere. Head of Orphanage disappears with the babies.
SCENE 4
Inside Orphanage.
Head of Orphanage: Two more little mice to feed to the big ferocious cat. And they’re plump from all that milk, and cats love milk.
Cat in cellar meows and roars.
Door crashes open.
Big black cat comes out with purple fur on his cheeks.
Brother Mouse (coming out of the wall): I should have used the special effects! I have a headache. Man, my head hurts from breaking through tat wall. (Birds surround his head.)
Head of Orphanage: Then try out this for size.
Cat: Roar! Meow! Chomp!
Head of Orphanage is eaten by the cat. Hear his muffled talking from inside the cat.
Brother Mouse: Yous shouldn’t have hired a big black cat because he ate you.
Cat: Burp!
Baby Mice goo.
Baby Sister snores.
