Last night I watched Metropolis. My favorite part was when the character noticed what the workers felt like when they were working on the machine, they felt like they were being swallowed by a giant monster. The character was a guy, sort of like a teenager, and he begged his dad to stop the slavery.
I liked the music of the video. It was so incredible. You should rent it from Netflix.
Oh, you don’t know about Netflix but I can tell you about Netflix after I tell you about the video.
It’s supposed to take place in the future. I found out that it was a really old film and some of the parts are missing. But it was still fun. The enemy is this robot. Someone captured a woman and made the robot look a lot like her. And the robot was programmed to be evil. And it made a lot of people like slaves go wild and nasty and they even left their children behind.
At the end the robot gets destroyed.
Netflix is where they have a lot of incredible videos you can rent.

The film is a great one. It’s known as one of the greatest.
Here’s something to think about. Fritz Lang, the director, was telling a story about cruelty and how the Golden Rule must be used between people. But I read that he was very harsh on his actors and extras and made them do things that were dangerous to their health. It’s said he treated them much like the man who ran Metropolis treated his slaves. It is really too bad that he did this. I’m sure he could have found a way to treat everyone with more compassion and still have a great film.
I didn’t know this movie was available. I saw a few clips from it in a documentary some time ago. I’ll have to see it and let you know my thoughts about it.
